We know we’ve been quiet for a while, but that’s only because we’ve been very busy doing amazing work behind the scenes!
Our Literacy Project has officially started, and we’re excited about the progress so far. Even better – we have a strong and passionate leader guiding this project. We’ll be introducing her to you very soon!
A few months ago, we held a special teacher training session as part of our preparation for this project. The training was full of useful topics to help teachers do their job better and support children more effectively. Some of the things we covered included:
Teaching children of different ages in the same class (multi-age teaching)
Managing the classroom
Making schemes and lesson plans
Setting up good classroom displays
Creating teaching materials using natural resources from our environment
It was a packed and exciting training that all the teachers enjoyed and learned from.
