Tangu Utoto – Ms. Jayne’s Library
Public Library
Currently supporting eight neighboring schools as well as the broader community, offering a safe and welcoming space for children to read, learn, and connect.
Tangu Utoto is proud to have established Kasese’s first public library, fondly known as Ms. Jayne’s Library. Created to serve the community, the library is a vibrant hub dedicated to nurturing a culture of reading among children.
The library is home to a rich collection of children’s storybooks, educational materials for teachers, novels, and more — carefully selected to inspire curiosity and learning. Currently, it supports eight neighboring schools as well as the broader community, offering a safe and welcoming space for children to read, learn, and connect.
How The Library Operates
To keep the experience engaging and meaningful, we’ve developed a weekly schedule of events including:
- Structured reading sessions
- Open reading hours
- Movie nights
- Educational games
- Tutoring and learning support
We’re continually listening to our community and adapting our programs to meet the evolving needs of our children. Our goal is to create a magical and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to explore, imagine, and grow.
